2st Carpathian Basin International Piano Competition

Call for Entries

The International Piano Competition aims to discover young talents.
The competition is open to young piano students, aged between 10 and 20 from the Carpathian Basin countries of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine.

The competition will take place at the Szent István Király Secondary School of Music (1145 Budapest, Columbus utca 11.)

Awards
Grand Prize of the Carpathian Basin
1st, 2nd, 3rd place, special prizes, valuable gifts worth 1.500.000 Ft

The program of the gala concert will be determined based on the jury’s recommendations. Participation in the award ceremony is a prerequisite for receiving a prize. In justified cases, the jury may grant an exemption from this requirement.  

Competition material
At least two works of different style and character, one of which must be a piano work by Béla Bartók or Zoltán Kodály or composed after 1970 by another Hungarian composer.

14000Ft or 35 Euro

You can apply by filling in the application form and paying the application fee on the Carpathian Basin Classical Music Festival website www.karpatfesztival.hu.
